Review: Falling into You | Falling Stars Series by A.L. Jackson

Richard Ramsey is the guitarist for the world’s hottest new band.
Gifted. Charismatic. Hot as sin.
Lend your ear, and he’ll steal your heart.
Nah, you can’t have his considering he left it in his hometown years ago
.

He knows better than going back. But it’s his younger sister’s wedding, and there’s no way he can say no to that.

He should have known she would be there, invading his senses and making him thirst and hunger for what he wants most.

Violet Marin hates him for what he’s done. He left her emptyhanded with their wreckage strewn all around. She’s picked up the pieces and is living her life the best way that she can.

But their connection is fierce.
Their attraction unending.
It only takes one glance for their worlds to collide.
One touch to set them on fire.

But she doesn’t know the dark secrets he keeps. If he had understood the true price of fame, he would have known he’d sold his soul and this debt is something he cannot repay.

Letting her go is impossible, but will loving her cost it all?

On my lanta, who doesn’t love a good angst romance with suspenseful plot twists and turns to get the heartstrings pulling? I know I do. And that is definitely what A.L. Jackson has done to me. My heart has been shattered, mended and left swooning while my mind is a complete mess. Falling into You was such an engaging romance that I just could not put it down once I got started. The investment I had towards Violet and Richard was undeniable. Probably one of my more favorite reads when it comes to second chance romances.

Violet and Richard had such a strong connection towards one another. I instantly fell for Violet. I felt every emotion of this character. She was downright relatable, so strong and fierce. I loved her personality. How resilient she was, especially considering Richard was back in town, her soulmate who left her six years ago. And I wanted to hate Richard. Oh did I ever. But I just could not bring myself to dislike his character dynamic. I do so love a good broody, demon conflicted male lead.

Watching these two collide while unraveling the truth was masterful. Oh I was not expecting that at all! I was blind-sided. I just wanted to step into the book and protect Violet myself, not only that but my heart completely shattered for Richard and what he was put through! It was… wow. It was genius, it was gripping to say the least. I was on the edge of my seat reading anxiously as the plot twists and turns kept twirling around until it was a knotted mess of drama. So many secrets. I loved it.

Obviously though I did have a few pet peeves. But this was more my personal pet peeves that for me semi-took away from the story. I loved the characters, I loved the romance, and the suspense was absolutely phenomenal. However for me, there was a slight disconnect on certain situations that left me really scratching my head.

Overall, I really enjoyed Falling into You. I felt it had the right amount of romance mixed with a suspenseful setting, it really pushed and pulled with my emotions. Not knowing what to trust, if I should let Violet give Richard another chance. If you enjoy a good suspenseful romance with swoon worthy connection, I highly recommend A.L. Jackson. Her writing style is beautifully gripping, every damn time she knows how to pull me in for the feels. I enjoyed Violet and Richard’s story!
