Review: TEASE | Temptation Series by Ella Frank

TEASETease – verb: to tantalize especially by arousing desire or curiosity often without intending to satisfy it….unless your name is Tate Morrison.

It’s been four years since Logan Mitchell walked into Tate’s life and irrevocably changed it. Four years since the sexy as sin lawyer dared him to try, and four years since Tate won his love.

Now, as they approach the next chapter of their lives Logan is determined they won’t end up like many of their friends. Settled. Domestic. Boring. However, that’s easier said than done. With busy careers and working odd hours, finding time for one another is becoming increasingly difficult.

But that sh*t isn’t going to fly with Logan or Tate.

The two of them are determined to compromise to get what it is they want, and what they want is each other.

Tease is the sexy, tantalizing continuation of the two men who stole your heart… and popped your cherry.

Well nuggets – we are back & comrades I couldn’t be more excited about continuing Tate + Logan’s romance. Don’t get me wrong, I read some other reviews about the continuation, a lot of halves on like and dislike; but I gotta say I loved it. Maybe I am crazy but I cannot get enough of Ella Frank, I cannot get enough of this series.

So here we are, four years later in the world of Tate and Logan – what the hell have they been up to since TRUST? Firstly let me start by saying that book three left on a very satisfying high note for the couple, if I had not been given a continuation story of this couple I would have not been disappointed in the least, but since I have it I cannot gush enough about it.

Tate and Logan are in a spot in their lives together where there is a routine, happiness and utter devotion to one another. Honestly I think Ella Frank created the perfect romance with these two, because regardless of any struggles they come across it is like they mold together, they grow and evolve as the other and it is a beautiful thing. They are still this all consuming, intense and powerful love that is absolutely untouchable.

Both men still hold those same qualities I came to love and admire from the first set of the series. Tate is still easy-going, compassionate and above all the pragmatic to everything surrounding his life. This really counters his personality with Logan who is still that arrogantly, no filtered sex on legs attitude. Regardless of their best qualities still shining, their flaws still leave them in vulnerable shells that make them completely believable. They both know how to get under each others skin which makes their chemistry still setting fires to the pages.

So when I say their chemistry still sets the pages on fire I mean the steam was burning through. Even though at this point their jobs, their routines have put a huge rut in their physical side of the relationship, once they decide to make that issue non-existent they literally devour one another.

And hell… the secondary characters?! Can I just show off my appreciation for these surrounding characters that I just cannot stop swooning over? Not only did my favorite, flirty Robbie enter Logan’s life again, under some questionable situations but the growth of where they were previously to the friendship the circle starts to develop is just… ugh it tugs at my speckled heart. Though Robbie still has this hard-on crush for Logan, the protectiveness that Tate and Logan have for Robbie as a friend is just enduring – I cannot wait to see where this leads. Not only Robbie, but Cole and Rachel are still very much apart of Tate and Logan’s lives. Sunday dinners are the cutest thing ever.

Then we have Priest? Oh my lanta… I just…. whew – next to Logan’s witty, sarcastic banter now I have to deal with Joel who is nothing short of a challenging tease of a personality. I cannot wait to see that dynamic open more.

At this point too we see a lot more of Tate’s father, Will. Who I personally loved the closure that was processed between Tate, Logan and Will in TRUST. So tickle my pickle when I see that that relationship is still growing strong. Especially considering that after four years, none of Tate’s family or friends have reached out to Tate after he came out with Logan. It is heart breaking honestly to finally realize that Tate’s world is nothing but Logan’s because he honestly has no one. This also plays a huge factor on the internal conflicts with Tate, somewhat straining him and Logan on some degrees. Not hugely affecting their relationship but finally getting that answer from previously when Logan asked Tate if he regretted turning his back on everyone to be with Logan. It comes full circle, especially when they run into Jill, Tate’s sister. Just bone chilling realization for the duo on how much their romance altered so much of their lives.

It is like every character has a pivotal role on the build and dynamics of Logan and Tate’s relationship. Whether in a positive or negative reaction, they just have this additive key element that flows well with their romance.

Overall I am enjoying where this is leading into. TEASE started a point that we realized that Logan and Tate are taking their relationship into a new level, both scary and exciting. Everything about this was spectacular. Not just with our main dishes, Tate and Logan, but from the secondary characters down to the plot that is utterly relatable is just breathtaking. Ella Frank has beguiled me body and soul – I am ready for more.
