Alex Bishop is your typical cowboy.
Charming, sexy, and wears a panty-melting smirk.
Working on the ranch helped build his solid eight-pack and smoking body. He’s every girl’s wet fantasy, and he knows it too. Alex doesn’t follow the rules of your typical playboy bachelor. After wining and dining his dates and giving them the best night of their lives, he always sends flowers and calls the next day—even if it’s to say, let’s just be friends. His mama taught him manners after all, and his Southern blood knows how to be a gentleman. Still, that isn’t enough to tame the wildest of the Bishop brothers.
River Lancaster has finally met the man of her dreams. Too bad after six months of romantic bliss, she finds out he’s married. With a broken heart and blind rage, she books herself a ticket to Key West, Florida. Tired of cheaters and liars, she’s set on escaping to forget he ever existed. Who needs a man when there’s an all-you-can-drink margarita bar, anyway? That’s what she tells herself until she bumps into the right guy who can make all those bad memories disappear.
Even if it’s only temporarily.
Two weeks on the beach is what they both need. No strings attached, no expectations, no broken hearts. Too bad the universe has other plans—one that’ll change the entire course of their lives in just nine short months.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy for an honest review.
Ahem! AHEM COMRADES! I know it is difficult but lets drag our eyes away from this deliciously lickable cover and read my blurb. Seriously I know if I could just say this was damn good read then send you on your way to continue adulting I would but that would mean I cannot gush about this new series with you? And that is just not good.
First off, a little backstory for those curious, The Bishop Brothers series is a spin off of the Checkmate series more specifically from This is Reckless/This is Effortless Duet. That particular duet surrounds Courtney Bishop who is the only sister in this southern Texan family of hotness. I say this because I know this is a standalone for each novel and even in the Checkmate series, each duet is it’s own story, but I highly recommend reading them in order and possibly prior to Taming Him. Not required, just a recommendation.
Now that we got that willy nilly of info out of the way, lets dive in…
Taming Him is from the perspective of two amazing characters. Alex Bishop who is beyond the most charming, sexiest, panty-dropping Texan who I want to put his cowboy hot piece of ass in my pocket to use as my sex puppet to the end of time. Complete playboy at the start, literally he is dripping with sex appeal that makes my loins sweaty. I absolutely adored his personality, I was hooked from the first moment he was introduced. Then we have the emotionally guarded damsel, River. When I say that I enjoyed her character it is an understatement. Her backstory is beyond emotional roller-coaster to the point of her current standings on trust and involvement are definitely heartfelt. She was a really great female lead.
Put these two types of personalities together and the steam is heating up the windows. Seriously, just… whew. The part I really enjoyed about their connection is that there was a build. It wasn’t insta-love, more insta-lust. Just pure fun. For starters River needed to disconnect herself from herself and realize she deserved better and Alex was more than happy to feed the beast. They enjoyed each other which developed their feelings throughout. By the end of the trip I was dying to see where/how this relationship would evolve. The dynamics between them are sweet, caring and at times downright hot, like slide off your sweat to fan yourself because it was gettin’ hawt in here. The best part about their relationship was that their evolution post vacation, it turned from sexy hot to a sweet and loving relationship.
To put it bluntly if you are not already convinced to get this, it was the perfect blend of all things amaze-balls, nothing but porno sweets and cowboys. The best start to the series! I cannot wait to see what comes next. I highly recommend getting this now! Kennedy Fox has not disappointed me yet, and after my love for Checkmate gave me the biggest book boner, I can honestly admit I think the Bishop Brothers is going to be the same damn reaction.
