Review: Cocky Fiance by T.L. Smith & Melissa Jane

COCKYFIANCEHe wasn’t meant to be on my radar, he was definitely the off-limits guy.

My brother’s best friend, my friend’s ex, but most of all he was my boss.

Hawk Carnage resembled one thing, and one thing only. Sex.

He used it, he knew it, he lived it. Hawk owned the largest lingerie company in the world, and I was his leading lady.In business. But now business and friendship were about to be crossed. The lines blurred, and I was ready to dip my toes in the forbidden water. Because no matter how much I said I could refrain from Hawk Carnage, now was not the time.

He was to be my fake fiancé. And I was about to sink into that forbidden water, with Hawk’s hands clutching my sides.

Lord help me because I was about to enjoy every moment of it. Even if it was just for fun. Even if it would ruin everything…I was going to dive in head first.

Well shit… now I have a new author I need to read more of because this novel was seriously amazing. Honestly the writing style to the chemistry of the main characters hands down it was a solid read. I absolutely loved it. I have to admit it was mostly because Cocky Bastard incorporated some of my favorite things for a plot mashup in one novel. Want to know what that checklist might be?

  • Sexiest, most lickable bookish piece of man meat ass – ✔️
  • Saucy yet lovable personality female lead – ✔️
  • Jaw Dropping trope of Brothers Best Friend with a dash of Employee taboo – ✔️
  • Chemistry to make the reader melt off their seat, turn me inside out beaver drool monkey sex – ✔️

Seriously these are an automatic buy for me when it comes to romance synopsis – I can’t help it. The trope of the brothers best friend crushing on the little sister which is always a big no no bro-mance rule that seems to set up something of a hot type of ‘off limits’ chemistry between any duo. Add that with the Boss co-worker scenario makes it even hotter. Then you have either an asshole or cocky complex in the male… seriously I just break, simple as that.

The chemistry is definitely what makes this novel amazing. At the introduction of the novel, I immediately lusted for Hawk and simply adored Britta. I overall loved Britta’s personality. She is smart, fun, and just drop dead gorgeous. Same goes for Hawk. I absolutely fell hard in love with his entire presence when they were together. The way he and Britta played their feelings off of one another, the attraction has obviously always been there just never acted on it. Yet once they started to admit there was something between them, it was really Britta’s charm and saucy, sassy personality that caught his eye from day one. There was no need to build a chemistry, it was there from the start. And I mean when they are together it is nothing but fireworks.

Hawk Carnage is one of the best heroes, I cannot and will not stop gushing over him. From his smart, broody attitude, dripping of sex appeal to just out right cocky with a hint of a filthy mouth that screams to be bitten, I cannot get enough of him. The fact that Hawk was a ‘cocky’ man just made him damn near delicious. His complete attitude was jaw dropping sexy. Hawk is definitely extreme and intense, definitely passionate man, literally he is sex on a stick. I loved his complete personality. And if we are being honest about it, Britta fed off it. It gave her more confidence and ultimately made her realize she was worth more than what she thought she deserved in a man.

Basically it was one hell of a ride – Cocky Fiance was decently paced, the drama and overall plot was just fun, witty, and honestly the chemistry was just hot as hell – everything flowed nicely which made for such an amazing and easy read. Nothing short of entertaining. Literally it is just jammed packed with a blend of forbidden romance that is just intense with passion. Highly recommend giving this novel a shot, it is sexy, hot and just a bit raunchy goodness. I loved it!
